Leading construction businessmen have said that business unity is the need of the hour. He also expressed deep concern that the problems in the construction sector have not been addressed even a year after the formation of the two-thirds government. Inaugurating the ninth national meeting of the Associate Member Coordinating Working Committee under the Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs of Nepal, he analyzed that serious challenges are being added in the construction sector. Addressing a program in Dhulikhel, Kavre, FNCCI President Ravi Singh said that any challenge could be overcome if construction businessmen from all over the country were united. Singh said that there was no alternative to move forward unitedly forgetting all the bittersweet things of the past. Attempts to meet the Prime Minister for a long time to make the businessmen aware of their problems have not been successful, said Chairman Singh. Stating that the federation is very sensitive to the problems of small entrepreneurs, he urged all for constructive suggestions. MP Jipchiring Lama Sherpa, who is also an honorary member of the federation, said that everyone should be vigilant as unfavorable situation has been created for the businessmen. Former presidents Ramesh Sharma and Sukuntalal Hirachan, who are also advisors to the federation, remarked that the state has not appreciated the contribution of construction businessmen. Former president Yaksha Dhwaj Karki and outgoing president Bishnubhai Shrestha said that the federation leadership should include all kinds of entrepreneurs. Gopal Sigdel, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, said that the role of construction businessmen would be important in nation building. Associate Member Coordinating Working Committee Coordinator Aang Dorjee Lama (AD) said that the committee would actively participate in all the activities of the federation. FNCCI Senior Vice President Nicholas Ponde said that construction businessmen are the backbone of building physical infrastructure. All the office bearers and members of the working committee elected from the 20th general assembly and 11th convention of the federation were honored in the program.
Meanwhile, the FNJ Associate Member Coordinating Working Committee has been elected unopposed. The working committee headed by Ramji Pant (Mukesh) has been selected unopposed. The coordinator of the Associate Member Coordinating Working Committee is FNCCI Vice President Aang Dorjee Lama (A.D.). Aung Dorjee Lama (A.D.) was elected associate vice president at the 20th general assembly and 11th convention of the federation held in the first week of September last year. Nawaraj Shrestha has been elected as the secretary, Mohan Karki as the deputy secretary, Shiv Shakti Bhattarai as the treasurer and Laxmi Basnet as the co-treasurer. Similarly, Khadga Bahadur Budhathoki, Engineer Pradip Kumar Khatri, Anil Kuwar, Krivesh Shrestha, Umesh Dhwaj Thapa, Tendi Sherpa, Tulsiram Bhandari, Navin Kumar Jha, Gokarna Raut, Diwakar Lamichhane and Keshav Twanawasu are unopposed among the members. Chief Election Officer Advocate Baburam Dahal administered the oath of office and secrecy to all the unopposed candidates.
